I want to know 2 things: who established this group ? and what is the proposed solution the group is pushing for ?
Otherwise, how do I know that you are not just a pro-freeway group pushing for an above ground link between the ring road and the Eastern freeway ?

      Dear Mark,

Thank you for your response and questions. It is encouraging to see that people are as concerned as we are about Rosanna Road.

Resolve Rosanna Road Incorporated is a non for profit organisation that is made up of a numbers of people that live on Rosanna Road and on roads/streets that come off Rosanna Road. We have no political affiliations however believe that given the upcoming state election Rosanna Road should be on the political agenda. We have no proposed solutions – We are not road engineers nor do we have access to any form of traffic data but we know that the situation along Rosanna road needs to be addressed. We are wanting the people running to represent us in parliament to clearly identify what their short and long term strategies are for Rosanna Rd. Simply put, if they want our vote, we would like to know what plans they have so that we can all make informed decisions regarding who we want representing us.

One issue that we clearly wish to put on the table is that we are not advocating nor will we support any above the ground road/freeway through Banyule Flats. These parklands are important to us and we will do all we can to maintain them for future generations.

      Regards

      RRI

Well I am pleased to hear that you are not pushing for a freeway through Banyule flats.
I would still like to know the identities of the founders.

Are you able to identify your own interest (eg. do you live on or near Rosanna Road, or have to drive the length of Rosanna Road in peak hours, or do you have no experience of Rosanna Rd issues?) and whether you can articulate any solution to these problems? This would be helpful.

For my part, I have no affiliation with any commercial, environmental or political group. My interest derives from living on Rosanna Rd, with my bedroom only metres from the traffic. I can attest to the increase in black soot that permeates the house (from increased truck traffic) and more sustained noise issues (from increased traffic using Rosanna Road as an arterial road to the north-eastern suburbs). The build-up every day, of stopped traffic that extends literally for kilometres, is evidence that there is a major logistical and health problem in need of a solution.

    Look forward to your response.
